Airbrush

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by to read my blog! This is my first blog post and I am so excited to start sharing useful and interesting information with you! I’d like to talk about a topic I get asked about most – airbrush makeup. Choosing whether you want airbrush makeup for your wedding is a really important decision and being properly informed about it is a must! I’ve put together a list of questions and concerns that I get asked most often along with answers from my own personal training and experience. If you have any additional questions about airbrush makeup after reading through the list feel free to send me an email at savanahsummer@gmail.com

What is airbrush?

Airbrush makeup is a micro-fine mist that is sprayed onto the skin for the most thorough, even and flawless finish. Nothing touches your skin but air andmakeup

Do I need airbrush for my wedding?

In my opinion, ABSOLUTELY! Your skin will look natural, dewy, healthy, and youthful. You will have that ‘bridal glow. Airbrush makeup also photographs beautifully and is extremely durable, which is exactly what you need on your wedding day.

Does airbrush look natural?

Yes! Airbrush is light and airy and you probably won’t even be able to tell that you have it on. Your skin will look natural, dewy, healthy, and youthful. I can also customize the amount of coverage each client may need – sheer, medium, to full for those that may need or prefer a heavier coverage.

I have acne, dark spots, redness, and veins. Can airbrush cover that up?

Absolutely! Airbrush contains color correcting pigments that instantly cancel out any redness, discoloration, or problem areas

Is airbrush waterproof?

Yes. I use the highest quality silicone-based makeup formula on the market. Silicone based airbrush is extremely water- resistant. I haven’t seen anything else compare! I once had a bridesmaid sweating so profusely that she had a constant stream of sweat dripping down her face. I went over to touch-up her makeup and the airbrush hadn’t even budged! Airbrush makeup is also transfer-resistant, meaning it won’t transfer onto someone’s clothing if your face comes into contact with their shirt from hugging.

I’ve heard airbrush isn’t a good option for mature skin because it will settle into fine lines and accentuate them.

Airbrush is engineered to mimic flawless skin. It contains SilkSphere Technology, an advanced smoothing complex that actually helpsminimizethe appearance of imperfections, pores, fine lines and wrinkles. This creates a youthful, radiant look, and leaves skin feeling smooth, healthy and hydrated.

Is airbrush safe for sensitive skin?

Airbrush makeup is suitable for all skin types. Makeup brushes and sponges can easily harbor allergens and acne-causing bacteria. Due to the sprayable application method, airbrush is more hygienic to use than traditional foundation. Airbrush products are also non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores or cause breakouts. It is also dermatologist tested, Paraben, Phthalate, hypoallergenic, and Gluten Free.

How do I remove airbrush makeup?

Airbrush makeup washes off easily with any cleanser or makeup remover. I personally recommend using coconut oil to remove your makeup, followed by a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and eye cream.

I’ve had a bad experience with airbrush in the past and I’m not sure I want it for my wedding.

Someone can have an airbrush system made of gold, but if they aren’t properly trained and have experience doing it you’re not going to get the results you were hoping for.

Should I do anything to my skin leading up to my wedding to prepare for airbrush makeup?

Yes. Investing in a quality skin care regimen will definitely improve your overall makeup application. Airbrush makeup is pretty awesome, but it can only do so much. Ensuring you have taken care of your skin leading up to your wedding day will only make your makeup look that much better. I recommend that all of my brides cleanse, tone, exfoliate, and moisturize daily for best results.
